🌹 The Dadès Valley stretches along the southern foothills of the High Atlas, connecting Ouarzazate to the Todra Gorge. This corridor of kasbahs, rose gardens, and dramatic rock formations is one of Morocco's most scenic regions and a highlight of any southern Morocco road trip.
🌸 The Valley of Roses
Between El Kelaa M'Gouna and Boumalne Dadès, millions of Damascene roses bloom each May, filling the valley with an intoxicating fragrance. The rose harvest is celebrated with the annual Festival of Roses — a colorful parade with music, dance, and the crowning of the Rose Queen.
🏔️ The Dadès Gorge
The road through the Dadès Gorge features some of Morocco's most dramatic switchbacks, carved through towering red rock formations. The famous 'Monkey Fingers' rock formations are a geological wonder unique to this valley.
Getting There
Rent from OLIVIANA CAR and drive the route from Ouarzazate — the road is paved and scenic. The gorge road narrows after Aït Arbi, so a sturdy vehicle is recommended for the upper sections.
